On my Facebook page I somtimes post a picture of a waldorf doll I made. And there’s always someone who replies with sweet words. Today a friend of mine commented: “They are like little children!” And a Mummy who ordered a custom doll told me she immediately fell in love with the doll when she saw the pictures. Sweet words are always nice to hear

This doll will soon leave and go to her new home. She will meet a sweet little girl who will become one of the best doll-mummy’s in the whole wide world. The doll allready has a very sweet spot waiting for her where she can sleep. And I’m pretty sure she will be cuddled a lot

Elle: “Dolls don’t really pee, do they!?”

And a little bit later:

Elle: “Dolls have tiny ears.” I respond: “Yes indeed. They are hidden under their hair.” Elle nods… “Look, right here!” And she points at a tiny waldorf doll ear. An imaginable ear, just as waldorf tradition intended.

And she looooooves flowers!

This might just be the most pretty waldorf doll I have ever made!

Then, after lunch, I finished the hair of the doll I was also working on yesterday. And I placed a picture from yesterday (with not completely finished hair) on the welcom page of this website. I like this doll. I think she’s sweet

Tomorrow I will give her a pair of shoes and then she is ready to go. Ready to be played with. Dolls mostly have a great life.They are loved and adored by the child that plays with them.

While I was still installing myself for sewing the hair, my daughter allready came with the pins and needles, to help mummy out My little sweetheart is only three years old, but she also likes to make dolls. In her own special way.

Last week she told me she will also learn how to make dolls when she is a grown up… just like mummy does.

When this doll is finished, a new order is allready waiting, for a girl that will celebrate her birthday later this month.

I personally choose for brighter colour but I also like her choice for colours and materials very much.

A lot of her dolls don’t even really look like a waldorf doll, some of them do, but not in the traditional way.

She is very popular and sells a lot of dolls.

And whether you like her style or not, you have to admit she is a skilled handcrafter…

When you look at these dolls, you just know that here is someone who knows how she can work with wool. The dolls are more (or less?) sculpted, and the faces are therefore very lively looking.They have a real nose and lips.

Allegonda’s dolls come with a doll passport. It is a guarantee that she will repair the doll if necessary. And probably noone else can with a doll like that.

I really like how she developped her very own style, that is nothing like any other waldorf doll I ever saw.

She makes the more or less traditional waldorf style dolls, just like Poppenoek. The hair of these dolls is made out of mohair which is a completely different technique then what I use. Some day I might try this other technique. Because it is also very beautifull.

Ineke Gray is not only a dollmaker, she also gives courses to teach other people how to make waldorf dolls. She is quite famous for her skills.
